Mr. Isidoro Simon Yak Bak is a proactive MEAL professional with over seven years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, research, and data analysis for humanitarian and developmental programs. He possesses extensive expertise in managing the full evaluation cycle—including baseline, mid-term, and endline assessments—while working alongside NGOs, UN agencies, and government stakeholders.

His technical competencies include designing M&E tools and supervising large-scale data collection using Mobile Data Collection (MDC) platforms such as ODK, Kobo, and SurveyCTO. He is proficient in quantitative and qualitative analysis using SPSS, Excel, and R. Furthermore, he has hands-on experience in climate resilience, food security, and gender mainstreaming within fragile contexts. His skills extend to knowledge management, stakeholder coordination, and capacity building to drive program performance and institutional reporting.

Career Highlights

Currently serves as Research Officer at Skillmax Consulting Inc., leading field data collection, supervision, and quality assurance for multiple humanitarian and development projects across South Sudan.

Successfully completed major evaluations and assessments including baseline surveys for South Sudan Red Cross and DanChurchAid, disability accessibility audits for UNFPA, mapping of peace structures for Finn Church Aid, and end-line evaluation for Mercy Corps.

Served as Programme Management Intern at IFAD headquarters in Rome, managing the Operations Results Management System (ORMS) and supporting analytical work on Covid-19 impact on agriculture across East and Southern Africa.

Provided technical support for project monitoring, budgeting, and disbursement tracking for IFAD's Rural Poor Stimulus Facility (RPSF) projects, and contributed to peer review of supervision mission reports.
