Privilage Hove, PhD
Privilage is an economist with more than a decade of experience across research, teaching and advisory roles in UN agencies, academia and development institutions. He specialises in trade and industrial policy, global value chains, agri-food and food-systems economics, and climate economics including green transitions.
He applies computable general equilibrium (CGE), econometric and machine-learning methods — with hands-on command of GTAP and GEMPACK — to assess how reform and structural change affect value chains, welfare and growth. His experience includes research fellowships at the University of Bologna and the European Institute of Policy Research and Human Rights in Brussels, and finance roles at the International Atomic Energy Agency and IFAD.
He holds a PhD in Economics from Roma Tre University, an MSc in Economics from Sapienza University of Rome (110/110 with honours) and a BSc in Development Economics from Midlands State University.
